Re: Race and Commercial Breakdown of the Ford 400

On NASN (North American Sports Network) - who supply my telly-box with NASCAR coverage here in Ireland - when the commentary team say "...and now a word from our sponsors and your local ABC stations"....I usually get onboard footage with no soundtrack other than the engine!

Excellent.

We do have some commercial breaks, but very few. I would say that the total commercial-count for me for the Ford 400 was a maximum of 30!!!

LUCKY ME!!!.....

....er, unless I've completely misunderstood your point of course and you are saying the more ads the better!!!!

Wow. When I lived over there, all I got was RTL from Luxemborg, Eurosports and SkyNews.

What you describe above is what big dish satelite users got before everyone went to the small dish we currently use. We used to get the booth talk between the announcers if they left their mikes hot.

It's [commercials] the price the TV viewer pays for having total live access to NA__AR racing. That was what everyone was asking for, right.

Moral of the story: Be careful of what you ask for, you may get it.
