| Re: A Simple Request... Abso-freaking-lutely, Wayne. We know you'd think good thoughts about us if the shoe were to be on the other foot. That's what friends are for. |

Only 2 yanks showed up to play in your dirt so far. Its great that you guys get to play when we are building new racers or re-building our bent racers. It would be worth the cash spent to go play someplace warm when it be the middle of depression season here. Bench racing is the quacks 'script' for the off season. Works for me. |

| Re: A Simple Request... I just received a phone call (at 11:50PM) from Wayne. He's in the hospital again .. this time with heart problems. Has been there since Monday and has just been transferred out of ICU into a regular room. He said he has a "3rd degree blockage" and something about the upper part not working with the lower part (not being a cardiologist I'm not quite sure what that means.) They are trying drugs to relieve the blockage, but may resort to going in thru the vein in the leg with a camera to see what they can find if the drugs don't provide relief. Though he didn't recognize the word "angioplasty", I'm pretty sure that's what he was talking about. He said the problem with his heart was caused by his attempted suicide, but they are hopeful he will recover. We talked for about 15 mins. He is going to send me an email tomorrow with his room number and the phone number of the phone in his room (so we don't have to use his cell phone.) He said after he was released last week he was able to stay with a couple different people for one night each then he was completely homeless, wandering the streets trying to stay dry and warm. Said he'd never been homeless before and it wasn't at all enjoyable. Looks like we need to continue our prayers for Wayne. I'll post an update when I have one.

| Re: A Simple Request... I sure hope someone from the social services dept. in the hospital can hook him up with the right people to get some housing. Being out on the streets unwillingly can't be fun. You're in my prayers buddy !!! |

| Re: A Simple Request... An update and some good news. First the update: I've gotten a better description of the malady with Wayne's heart. It seems the problem is that the upper part of the heart is out of sync with the lower part (he called it a timing problem.) As such, the blood isn't moving thru the heart very efficiently, thus the "3rd degree blockage" description. Meds seem to be helping, but it's still too early to be sure how much or if they can eliminate surgery. Now the good news: Wayne says he was informed they found his van .. with his Bible still on the dashboard! Unfortunately, they took everything else: motor, trans, engine computer, air bags and of course all his tools. Still he's happy 'cause he's got the vehicle back .. it's just gonna take some work to make it run again. So some prayers have been answered, some are being answered and some we're waiting.... And Wayne still needs our prayers. He sends thanks to everyone. He's having a hard time believing so many people care about him and are rooting for him. Keep it up, 'cause he's coming around |

| Re: A Simple Request... Thunderfoot.jpg Thank You! from Thunderfoot (aka Wayne) I wanted each of you to see a picture of me and to know how much I appreciate your well-wishes and prayers. There's still a lot of stuff with me that needs fixing, but with your continued prayers and the Lord's help, it will get done. 2008 will be a great year for me. Thank You! ************************** Wayne asked me to post the Thank You (above). The medication seems to be taking care of his heart problem and so he was released from the hospital on New Year's Eve and is currently in search of suitable housing. (No worry, he has a warm place to sleep until he finds something.) He will be able to stop by GTG occasionally, but has not even a temporary internet connection so it won't be regular. There's lots more going on that I'm not at liberty to discuss here, but rest assured it's all good. Bottom line: things are looking up for Wayne! |
