Re: Junior exits DEI 'sad' for father

Note to Jr. DO NOT venture into Bill O'Reilly's "No Spin Zone." You will be smited mightily about the head and shoulders.

This is sour grapes and a possible insight into Dale Junior's true character. I thought he was above all this. Guess I was wrong.

Re: Junior exits DEI 'sad' for father

It appears some of you aren't taking into consideration this interview came right after the Homestead race was over. This was a race Junior had high hopes of finishing good for his sponsor, his team, his fans and DEI. But look at the results. First his transmission broke and he had to start at the back. Then he got wrecked by Kyle Bush going into the pits. Then he got wrecked by a veteran crashing him into the wall. Then he got black flagged and two pit road penalties. He finished the race in 36th place, 7 laps down I believe. After the race was finally over, he got out of his wrecked car and reporters started shoving microphones in his face wanting to know how he felt. Well...he told them exactly how he felt. What did you expect him to say? Did you expect a sunshine and roses Jeff Gordon Jimmie Johnson interview? Is that what you want out of all your drivers these days? Don't show any emotions, don't say what you really think? Not me. I knew it was coming and it was no surprise to me it happened when it did. Now, it's finally time to move on. And yes, I've objected to some of the things Junior's said this year. But this time, I'm giving him a pass.

Re: Junior exits DEI 'sad' for father

I believe that if Dale Sr. was alive none of this would have taken place with Dale Jr. I'll just leave it at that. Dale Jr going to Henderick is good but that doesn't mean he will win a championship. He is the most popular driver today. Only an opinion he doesn't have what it takes in him to win a championship! Gosh I'm going to get reamed for that statement!

I agree, and thank you!
