Re: Richmond Crown Royal 400 Race Discussion

Well, well well. 125 laps to go and #24 is off, #2 is 3 laps down. #48 is 22nd. Still 1/4 of the race to go, but... 2 dudes I don't like having problems, so I'm happy. For now.

so far i am happy
Martin, Harvick, and Hamlin have all led. Gordon, and Kenseth have had trouble and Johnson is back inthe 20's, it is a great race so far.

Re: Richmond Crown Royal 400 Race Discussion

Welcome to GoTeamsGo, 3829.

Yes, great race tonight. Way to go Denny Hamlin with the 2nd place finish. And what about the 16 car. Looked like Biffle just needed a few more laps & he would have been making a play for the lead.

Re: Richmond Crown Royal 400 Race Discussion

biffle is definitly a good driver but i wish he would drive for someone besides roush. it was a great race but if biffle would have been challanging for the lead it would have been even mor exciting

Re: Richmond Crown Royal 400 Race Discussion

A lot of top contenders took big hits in the points tonight. Kasey Kahne dropped three spots because a plug wire falling off, Gordon has a bizarre ignition failure, Kenseth loses a brake rotor and knocks off his oil pump. I think Harvick was a little upset since he was nowhere to be found after the race for an interview. Kurt Busch had a strong run fall apart with a tire problem that went from bad to worse. What a weird night.
Congrats to the Bud team. Jr. looked strong as did Hamlin.

But hey, welcome to the board 3829! Its good to see new people here.

Re: Richmond Crown Royal 400 Race Discussion

It was interesting to see some of the postion changes last night. The part I find most interesting is that some of the places lost were due to problems other than accidents. When you have mechanical failure it seems more fair (?) because at least your drop in the points race isn't due to some over aggressive rookie driver trying to gain or retain one spot on the track. It was too bad to see that Harvick, even though he led a lot of the race, still has an attitude problem to deal with. Nobody likes to lose but he was beaten fair and square. Granted he wanted to sweep the weekend but the best driver/team at the end should win and it appears that they did. It was also a hoot to see Jr. blow the tire during the burn out.

Re: Richmond Crown Royal 400 Race Discussion

Let's hope the Darlington race has as much excitement for us as Richmond did.

So wasn't there some prohibition on hard liquor sponsoring stuff?

Anyway, discuss the race here. Talk about past Richmond winners & losers, expectations, the track, tailgating... whatever. And make sure you log your prediction over in the Crown Royal prediction contest thread.
Ross, they are easing up on liquor sponsors. What do you think about Richmond, never been to that track it is worth going too?
