Sounds like typical Jeff Gordon........ HE is the most important guy on the track. Funny thing is, his teammate/employee Johnson is from the same mold. I'm sure they have butted heads more than once.

Can't stand it anymore!! Did any of you hear that (lying) DW tell the watchers/listeners during the 3M race that both Jr & Gordon are the two biggest NASCAR stars? How in the heack (read that a form of hades: H*ll) can anyone compare Gordon with Jr? Thats like comparing a Dior dress (Jr) with poopy pants (Gordon). The only comparison that I can see is the standing ovation that they both get during a race....DE Jr gets the standing "O" when he leads or wins while Gordon gets it when he accomplishes a DNF or goes to the garage or peels the side of his car off with the fence...Geez, DW, give us a break! Bet he was paid to say that often to help turn the fan-base around in Gordons favor...won't work here. While many other super drivers are on the track, the most impressive is Smoke...he exudes traces of Dale Earnhardt Sr's approach and talents...but to compare Gordon with a real talent....Geez!

Earnhardt Jr. will never go to the level Jeff Gordon has reached. Just because Jr. has the most fans doesnt mean he deserves them. He inhertited all of them from his papa. Gordon is hated because he's SO GREAT. Earnhardt Jr. actually Kinda sucks, he hasn't really accomplished much besides a Daytona 500 win and a 6-wins season. Jeff has a 13-win season, 3 Daytona 500's, and 4 Championships, Jr. has Zero championships. Dont judge drivers by how there treated by the fans, its like saying the Yankees suck because they get booed every where they go ecxept for Yankee Stadium. And if you didnt know Jeff has the second most fans in NASCAR according to themostpopulardriver.com poll. And in a rescent ESPN poll Jr and Gordon both are in the top 10 of the most popular athletes in the US.

Dupont-Jr. didn't get all of his fans just because of his father! That is so biased! Let me say this! Before I was a Tony Stewart fan which actually happened only at the beginning of this season I was a Dale Jr. fan. His father had nothing to do with it. I've been only a fan for 5 years now, so his father had nothing to do with it. That upsets me when you sterotype people like that! Gordon is up their with fans but Jr. in my own opinion has a bigger fan base and as far as Gordon being at the higher level thats your opinion and remember Dupont not everyone has to share your same point of view!

Why are you a Jr. fan ???? And Jeff has accomplished more then Jr. so he is in a higher level then Jr. NOT AAALLLL Jr. fans were Earnhardt fans obviuously but the people who rescently learn of the sport NASCAR tend to join the bandwagon when it comes to picking drivers.

Let's don't lose perspective of the real issues: JG is good, but far, far from best. His most significant accomplishments are attributed to the Evernham organizational talents and Evernham's ability to guide, lead and baby-sit. Subsequent teams and chiefs have accomplished much as well, but the driver in this case, is only a pompous pretty-boy who really does not care for any others unless personal gain can be obtained. JG is most noted for attributes that almost all others on th track do not have: Arrogance, pride, greediness, being pompous, silver-spoon past and many other undesirable traits. Gordon is good, but not best and not all that popular. Go to any die-cast outlet and find that his are the last items on the shelf....that says something. To align with JG is to root for an also-ran...the stats belie his medioracy... I retain the 'poopy-pants' descriptive for him. As I have tons of tapes and CD's of races going back to the early 80's, I have noted that the "Crank-it-up" feature is lower in decible ratings than those of the sitting crowd when JG leaves the track before the race is out....that also belies the "Top-Ten" rating that some cock-a-mamie poll has been refered to, probably attempting to raise the bar on his popularity...God help us!

I noticed that I failed to mention that another of the achievements of JG is to have 266 responses to the "Gordon Sucks" thread...now, that is an accomplishment that I seriously doubt that Smoke or JR can meet!

WWOOWW, do you study Gordons every move cause it seems you know him more then I do, in and out. Gordon is one of the best, he has been successful on every type of race track, the plates(04-05 spring Talladega races, 04 Pepsi and 05 Daytona 500), road couses(04 Infineon race, 2nd at Watkins Glen until tire blew and lost the transmision while leading at 05' race) Short tracks(came from 3 laps down to win last year and beat Tony Stewart in the fall race), flats(4 Brickyard wins, tied for the most wins at Indy EVER). Jeff has been struggling lately bacause he has a new Crew Chief but they'll get it soon. He would have won the '04 Championship in the old point system. So I think those stats alone can consider he one of the best. i can care less the way he is, I wont judge him like that, but he does do alot of charity work and opened a childrens hospital rescently. Not every driver is perfect so theres no need for the insults and judging.
