Re: Does France have a clue?

Seahawker, just like any sport, in racing there are skills to be mastered, rules to be understood and strategies to be thought out and implemented in order to be successful.

I've been to baseball games that put me to sleep, they were so boring, but I'm a fan of baseball nonetheless.

and I've been to races that put me to sleep, they were so boring, but I'm a fan of racing nonetheless.

if you understand the sport and follow it closely, you will find the parts that are interesting to you. for me, racing is interesting because of the mechanics involved (not the drivers so much as the machines) for me baseball is interesting because of the mechanics involved (not so much the players but curves, fastballs, sliders, knuckleballs, etc.)

I hope you take the time to learn a bit more about racing before you dismiss it. you never know, you might find something in it that appeals to you (not just NASCAR, there's dozens of different kinds of motorsports .. i'm sure one will appeal to you in some fashion.)

There are four quarters in a football game. Each quarter is 15 minutes, right? In a one hour game, approximately 7 minutes is actually playing time, where the players are actually playing. While I appreciate that it may be entertaining for some, I cannot fathom comparing going 180 mph for 3-4 hours to standing around waiting for the next play and pattin' each other on the can. I will admit that remembering all the plays takes some brain power, but that's as much as I can give you.

whats fun about cars going in 50 circles at the same speed?
Forgive me, but why are you here if you see no value in NASCAR? NASCAR is much more than "cars going in 50 cirlcles at the same speed". Perhaps you might learn that from this Forum.

Don't do it Petty! I responded directly to his rhetoric only once. That's it. You won't get anywhere, and it's not worth your attention. Ignore him ... he'll go away ...

You and I don't always agree, but I'd hate to see you banned due to a member who is obviously just here to taunt other members. I've yet to see an informed response from him anyway. Let it go, man!

I probably just got myself banned!

^ For those who haven't read my tread, the France family might just not stay too long involved with/in NASCAR, at least not in the position they have now.

HOLLY ... : RUMOR has it, CVC (owners of Formula 1) interested in BUYING NASCAR !!!

The are such discutions on other NASCAR forums/boards.
So does France have a clue ?!
Well soon this might just not be his problem anymore.
