Every once in a while it's fun just to have a thread that pretty much has no impact on anyone's life and doesn't require too much grey matter usage. I kind of like threads that people answer with their hearts first and their heads second, and these threads sometimes start out boring and end up the most heated.

I understand where you're coming from.

However, threads such as these, though absolutely filling a need and serving a purpose, are a bit too subjective for me, personally. Normally the most telling responses, as you say, are "from the heart." They tend to be comments from folks who view racing through the myopic view of "their" driver.

They're a little too deep for me, but then that's strictly my opinion.

I'm with you on this one ...

"Better" is subjective. "Hot" is subjective.

If any of these threads EVER have any impact on anyone's life, I will be afraid.

I don't think they're deep at all. That's my point. They are indeed, totally subjective and take no real thinking to participate in. On days when my mind is already numb by 9 a.m., it's all I can handle.
