No bigger critic of Tony Stewart than I, I admit it. Well there may be some where, somebody who really hates him.

First if somebody could please send him some razors and shampoo!

It just seems like the 1st half of the season he was in some sort of manic phase. Now it's like he's depressed or something.

I much prefer hating the manic Tony than the depressed Tony!

I don't know what it's going to take, maybe we could all write Carl Edwards and see if we could get him to slap Tony around or something to bring him back to life.

This is my first season watching NASCAR, so, is Tony always like this?

Come on Tony mix it up with somebody, maybe one of the Busch Brothers!

methinks this is the prelude to Tony's Sayonara.

His contract renewal is coming up and indications are he may not sign or may opt for a "limited" season in '09. There's little he hasn't won and speculation is he wants to devote more time to "other interests" (his track, his race team, etc.)

Besides, it's hard to be the center of attention if you can't win a race you're expected win and he's only lead a lap in 5 of the last 12 races (since his win at Watkins Glenn).

And he's slipped from 3rd in the Chase to 6th with no indication the slide is under control.

Now there is an idea I could live with. His ego is a bit to large and sensitive for my NASCAR frame of mind.
