Its really sad a guy can run in the top 2 or 3 and gets very little recognition, because of this lame chase thing.

Maybe it is the announcers and the incessant coverage of JJ and JG...it's really as if no else existed except Kenseth. All the commercials also make it hard to get into a watching groove.

Yea, all we can hope for next week is Gordo blows up or crashes early, so Johnson locks the title, and they can cover a race like it should be covered. Wishful thinking, huh?

I was at friends house to watch the race yesterday so I didn't get to post. I see there was on 35 posts made which has got to be a record low. I was bored watching the race in that who new anybody else was in it except JG & JJ. I can just imagine how boring next week will be. What would be cool if is ABC used the split screen where they could put 2 little boxes, one on JG & one on JJ in the left hand corner and the rest of the screen to actually cover the race that we want to see.

Well the numbers have been on a steady DECLINE for the live chats for sometime now. Granted 35 was extremely low.

I'd be interested to hear some opinions and discussions about the "live Chat" I missed about half of it yesterday due to company . I also missed a race a few weeks ago when I was gone. I believe I made the rest of them. Anyway and thoughts on how we can increase participation ?? Are there reasons why we lost participation ? Should we stop it completely next year ?

Well LSC.... IMO... I think it would have to do with the Jeff and Jimmie show. Everyone is sick of seein it and don't want to talk about it. As for me, I was out in the woods lookin for Bambi.

The reason I don't get to participate is because the only computer in the living room belongs to my daughter and she's always on it. My computer is in my room and my TV is out right now. So I can chat or watch the race, but can't do both. But next year I'll be able to do both. So I do hope you keep this going.

There you go!! It isn't bad enough that they jam them down our throats every minute of the race, who wants to also "talk" about it!!
Who else is there to talk about?!? There isn't anybody else on the track, is there?!? We know that there are, but not with the coverage that we are receiving!! There are only two cars on the track!

After about 20 minutes, I muted the sound because I kept hearing spewing "Jimmie Johnson" or "Jeff Gordon" about every 10 seconds from Rusty and Co. Even though it was muted, they were showing the 24 car about 90% of the time. It was disgusting. I feel for guys like Truex who ran up front all day and got VERY little recognition.

Part of a master plan to force fans to spend the extra $$ for the in car / with car coverage available via pay per view (Internet, DirecTV, or the NEXTEL handheld rented at the track)?

Still keep expecting the day there is a move to scramble the transmissions between team and driver making everyones old scanners useless. Want to still hear it? Pony up.
