Holiday Inn and Richard Childress Racing have signed a multiyear deal to extend the hotel chain's role as primary sponsor of RCR's No. 29 team in what will be the Nationwide Series (now Busch Series) next year. Scott Wimmer, who shares that ride with Jeff Burton, has also signed a contract extension with RCR. Wimmer will drive the car in 23 Nationwide Series races with Burton in the other 12. Wimmer also will drive a limited schedule of Sprint Cup Series races in 2008. BB&T will continue as one of the sponsors on the No. 2 Nationwide team. Clint Bowyer will run for the championship in that car in 2008. The team is still seeking sponsorship for its No. 21 car in the second-tier series.
