Gordon private appearance at Manheim Auto Auction

I work for an auto parts store, nationally known as "Parts Plus". Our owner has 6 franchises under the name of Snavely and Dosch Parts Plus. We have automotive parts, paints, supplies and equipment. The store that I work at has the Manheim Auto Auction account, along with many other accounts. We supply them with paints, 3M, and everything else their body shop needs. Everyday it is a huge order. Uninterrupted, it takes at least a good hour to put their order together.
Yesterday my boss told me that we wouldn't have an order for them, because there was going to be no production on 10/18/07. They were going to spend the day cleaning the shop, etc., for the arrival of Gordon and the Atlanta "big wigs" appearance last night.
You needed to have an invitation to show up!! And we weren't invited!! Not even our salesman who takes care of their account.

Section in bold is about our owner

I wish that I could have posted a link to an up to date website, but I don't believe that we have one. I'm going to talk to the owner to see about getting one started.

I'm having military flashbacks!!!

IRT the bold reference: In the Navy there is an old adage uniformly hated by every enlisted man; "Screw the mission - clean the position!"

IRT the unlined part: A military acronym - RHIP; i.e., Rank Has Its Privileges. Another concept, though necessary, is uniformly disliked by the enlisted.

Not that you mention it, being in The Canoe Club was kind of like hitting yourself in the head with a hammer; it felt so damn good when you quit!
