This is true. I kept going to work at the same place for over 31 years and seldom enjoyed it. OK maybe every two weeks I had a short moment when it was OK.

Re: Toyota becoming competitive after 30 races?

Toyota has a loads of $$$, so I wouldn't be surprised if they win alot of races next year. Now that they have a top tier team with Gibbs, chevy may have some competition.

What I am afraid of is the Hondas. I am sure they will be in shortly and they already have so much in Indy car motors it wouldnt take them long to win in NASCAR. Our sacred sport has been invaded by foreigners. Thats the nicest way I could put it.

It's a road we've been down but the points of view are interesting. I've got two Honda's so I'm a bit partial.

My new racer is a Honda CRX. All the fast guys have Honda's or VW's so I figure after years of running a Ford Mustang that if ya cant beat'em, join'em.

I guess I'm a bit more subdued. Two Honda CRV's. Say what you want but as far as I'm concerned they make a quality vehicle for a fair price and it retains its value longer than most American cars.

I try and convince my customers to buy either Yota's or Hondas. They are the easiest to work on and the value of the car stays up there unlike our domestic vehicles. But there aint nothing like the sound of a good old AMERICAN V-8. Especially a FORD. All of my cousins that I hunt with have Yota 4X4's. I'm the only one left with a full size Ford. When we come out of the hills heading for the barn after a good day chasing Mulie's or Elk, I am always there first and have a sandwich in hand asking "What took you boys so long?" Most responses are "We had to stop for beer". I have 2 fuel tanks and top off each morning on the way to our favorite spots. They dont have that luxury. So there is a benefit there of having my big truck. Besides, how am I going to tow my racer with a little foreign truck? It might take a Honda to win but it takes a FORD to get the sucker to the track!

That is so funny but now we have the Ridgeline. Not sure what the towing capabilities are. Doesn't the Tundra come in an 8 ???

Re: Toyota becoming competitive after 30 races?

Wasn't Waltrip asked this question about Toyota doing well and he put his foot in his mouth by saying that Gibbs was helping them out??
