Tony Wins Martinsville ?????

There were two big story lines coming off of the Charlotte race Saturday night.

The first was the surefire fantasy move that became a blunder, starting five-time Charlotte winner Jimmie Johnson, which I did, and leaving Jeff Gordon on the bench.

Enough of playing the strategy of taking the Lowe's car at Lowe's Motor Speedway. However, if you still like that strategy and are sticking to your guns, take a look at Martin Truex Jr. at Martinsville.

Later, at Texas Motor Speedway, look for either the retired "Texas" Terry Labonte or Tony Raines (in the Texas Instruments car).

This game is fun, right up there with Parcheesi or Hungry Hungry Hippos. Both of which do not require an Eliminator.

ESPN - The Eliminator: Stewart on the prowl - Nascar

I think you'd have better luck getting your tips at the local carnival's fortune teller. in the last 5 years:
  • Martin Truex, Jr. has 3 starts at Martinsville, avg start: 18.0, avg finish: 28.0 w/ no DNFs
  • "Texas" Terry has 6 starts at TMS, avg start: 32.0, avg finish: 31.5, w/ 2 DNFs
  • Tony Raines has 4 starts at TMS, avg start: 34.5, avg finish: 24.5, w/ 1 DNF
fantasy sports are all about statistics with a smattering of luck. these calls require 99% luck! to quote a TV commercial: "Las Vegas is calling...."
