beer cans at gordon

How come there were no beer cans being thrown at Gordon when he won at Talladega? Is the red army getting soft on us?

Don't forget they had super-tight security ready to arrest those that chucked anything over the fence.

Re: beer cans at gordon

Because the age of relating the beer can to Jr. is now officially over. And no one could find Mountain Dew in the cooler of their local convenience store. And come the day that they do, it just won't AMP 'em up like Bud once did.

Gone are the daze(d).

Re: beer cans at gordon

Maybe they saw how stupid it looked on TV, and found some common sense. Boo to your hearts content, I would, but throwing stuff is stupid. I hope we've seen the last of it.

Re: beer cans at gordon

What does the "red army" have to do with throwing beer cans or anything else at Gordon when he wins?

Gordon doesn't ever, under any circumstance, deserve to have anything thrown at him. Nor does any other driver.

I'm assuming that this so-called "red army" refers to Jr. Am I wrong?

Re: beer cans at gordon

I agree completely, like for example I'm not a fan of certain drivers (remaining unnamed for the moment) but never in my life will I throw anything under any circumstances and defile all of NASCAR and what it stands for!!!

It is unfair that folks assume it is Jr and Sr fans throwing the cans. The pic I remember from the first 'Dega race is the guy in the Jimmy Johnson shirt in handcuffs!

In reference to throwing trash on the track, endangering all the fans that could be injured by the stupidity ....... probably not!

Exactly. I hope your sense of humor is a touch more refined than throwing beer cans Pablo. Hopefully that was your attempt at humor.
