As I sit here on Saturday night watching the Lowe's Bank of America 500, I find myself channel surfing for something else to watch.

I love night racing, and racing in general, but am not interested in tonight's race. Is it The Chase? Looks like it'll be either Gordon or Johnson for the Cup. Is that it? Maybe it's just a boring race.

Just curious if any of you have lost interest ... just a little bit ... as the season comes to a close.

For me Penny a lot of it is the focus on the chase and secondly it is the announcers. Dr. Jerry used to be good as a pit reporter, Rusty just plain stinks and Andy Petree is OK but is totally offset by the other two.

that's it for me .. im football first so during the summer ill watch baseball during the week and the race when its on ....... now football is #1 for me with the Patriots .. then the Sox in the playoffs .. then the race

unfortunately i lost a lot of interest when the chase started because there is no driver in the chase i cheer for ..... if JPM were in the chase, or if Sr were still alive i would be watching flag to flag

I'm interested tonite, since Labonte is doing well, but the chase is becoming a lock for the 24 or 48, and that doesn't do much to hold my interest. We'll see. Martinsville might be the last race I'll watch flag to flag.

me too ..... i say break the bank for A-Rod and dump Lugo to put him at SS ..... i dont care what he does in the playoffs, he is the best hitter in the regular season and still maybe the best SS in all of MLB

And to me, JJ deserves it. Well, his crew chief does. I'll always boo that serial cheater. You like at teams like Childress or Gibbs, that have managed to win without anywhere near the issues that Hendrick has.

The Hendrick defenders can say what they want, but facts are facts. Ole Chad has been caught more times than Mike Tyson, and it never seems to be his fault!

And that has nothing to do with the topic anyway. Penny made a slight reference to JJ and Gordo. I don't think she said the fact they were doing well was the only reason why she tuned out!

I actually slept through nearly the entire race. Fell asleep about 2 laps in and woke up with 11 to go. So I got to see Rocketman rocket himself right into the wall. And I laughed when Gordon chastised himself after the race saying he was too stupid to run the apron so he didn't run out of gas. I was hoping the racing between Gordon and Busch at the end would give us something to talk about. Guess not. Great job by Boyer! I guess I'll have to watch the re-run on Thursday to see if anything else worth watching happened. I don't even know if the Sox won last night!
