bump drafting

I know there was talk of the lighter bumpers, did that become a rule or are they still trying to kill someone.

Hmmm! Dale Earnhardt's death really gave the sport a boost, maybe nascar thinks if they can kill another famuos drive evan more money will pour in.

Hmmmmmmm!

If you remember when Dale Earnhardt was killed, he never wore all the safety equipment for example like the hawnes device worn now by all drivers. When he was alive he never wore it because it restricted his movements in the car. He wanted his son to wear it but that is why he died. Lighter bumpers I see your point, but I don't think that will kill someone.

Looks like what it did was put an end to it.....I didnt see the cup race but at the BUSCH race I saw no bump drafting. The comments I heard after the cup race were something like....."didn't want to wreck my bumper and more importantly if I did bump draft and NASCAR didn't like it I did want a penalty"................

Is this softer bumper permanent? or was it just for Dega?
