In spite of two champions in his stable, Hendrick could see the most profit ever seen by his organization with Junior! I have never seen the amount of following this man has generated in this sport... and maybe the only two other athletes who I think are equal to or slightly better than him as a product "seller" would have to be Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods. For some reason, middle America truly identifies with Junior and doesn't care about spending for his merchandise, regardless of what it is. I too have never heard of AMP until the announcement earlier this year but I surely have heard of it now!

There is irony in all this, if you haven't realized it by now. Jeff Gordon is frequently seen drinking his "24" energy drink at trackside interviews, etc. Well, as I understand it, AMP is a DIRECT competitor against the Jeff Gordon energy drink! Not only will they be competing against each other on the track, now we'll get to see how good or bad Junior competes against Gordon in the energy drink business! However, it would be no surprise to me at all if Junior wins by a landslide!

One name, Michael Schumacher. He was between 1996 and 2006 the first or second best (after T. Woods) paid athlete in the world. He made ~700 million from F1, and could/would have become a billionaire had he stayed for a few more years.
And new F1 golden/wonder-boy Lewis Hamilton is kicknamed "Formula 1's Tiger Woods" or the "Billion Dollar Man".

As for Jr., he's got Pepsico behind him and the Earnhardt name while living and competing in America.

I was mainly focusing on the US market strictly with US athletes.

As far as Lewis Hamilton, he might be the new "wonder boy" in F1 but can someone tell him where the pit lane is in China?!?

I have to say, the product placement, graphics and overall image branding of Dale Jr with AMP is nothing short of atrcious. The graphics, well they suck. Sorry. Althought I'm glad to hear that he's still carrying the National Guard car - the graphics/imagery on that car is simply hideous. Someone on that marketing team should be fired. U.G.L.Y.
