Edwards texting during practice

Did anyone watch the second practice? Before Edwards was about to get back on track he was on pitlane sitting in his car texting someone on his cell phone. This was mid practice he was sitting in his car strapted in helmet and all. I know this isn't that big of a deal, but if I'm a race team I look at that as a great idea. Why not mount some kind of two way texting system in the cars. We always hear about a drivers or crews radio going out during a race and having to use a pit board or hand signals. My question is why are they still doing this? A simple two way system can be mounted in the car that wouldn't even need to be ran off the car's power. They can even program it with one button responses so drivers don't have to type too much out. Just press a button and it send a text message to the crew saying what the car is doing.

Just one more button to deal with and some drivers can't stand and talk at the same time now, lol.
