Thumbs down Re: The big one

This will be treated like HERESY but...

If NASCAR wants to get rid of the restrictor plate races, change, modify, and/or shortened the two superspeedways down to 1.5 miles or less in length.

Hi, ex nihilo and welcome to GoTeamsGo. So, who do you like in the way of drivers? This is a fun site, glad you found it
Edit: Sorry, I don't have a comment regarding your comment.

Re: The big one

OK so lets go back in time a bit and look at how the races faired back then. When Elliott set the speed record what were the races like then? It was non restricted. Were there as many accidents? Were they all bunched up ?? Changing the size of the track isn't going to happen. The possible body style changes may have some effect but I'm sure nothing close to what the drivers want. Seems like the teams want more than anyone is willing to give. Seems like any solution creates as many problems as it cures. Stay tuned

Ha! Found this on ebay, it is pretty cool.

Talladega is real close to me, and they are doing some renovations...........This is neat!
Just wanted to share. It's not my auction or anything, but I wanted to share! They've been talking about this like crazy on the news!

Hey covereddish, welcome to the forum, glad you found us! It's alot of fun here, Ross gives us a weekly contest, plus we have all the top notch posters in this forum. That's really cool, the link to purchase a chunk of 'Dega, I want to go back and really check out that link a little closer - I saw the cheapest shipping looked to be around $20.00, ouch, but I realize that a chunk of asphalt that's 6" by 12" is going to have some weight to it. I would like to have a chunk! By the way, like your handle! Now, I'm hungry! If you want to join in, the new contest is open!!

Re: The big one

I've got a TV that I watched Richard Petty win his last race on (Firecracker 400 1984). Do you think I could get anything for that on E-bay ??? The tuner dial is still on the same channel. Never been moved.

You never know, about a month ago or so, we saw somebody had a ziploc baggie of dirt for sale, but it was special dirt: It was from the Bronx, the ending bid was for a little over $400.00 Now the question is: When you turn on the T.V. is the race still on? If so, you should do very well, don't forget me when you cash in!

Obviously people who bid on bags of dirt have way to much money and time on their hands. Recently I did see a potato chip in the shape of a hot air balloon (my other hobby). Not sure how much it gathered up but whatever the amount was, it was too much. There was also a girl on there who was from a local state college and she was willing to go on a date to try and raise money for tuition. To think I just used to take stuff to the dump !!

There was a girl willing to go on a date to raise money for tuition? I think there's a name for that.

REALLY ?????????????? I just can't imagine what it might be. Actually the girl was very up front saying that it was merely a date to go to Subway for a grinder. Now what happens after that is yet another question. The college is in a town of about 4-5 thousand people.
