| Kenseth is flying NASCAR driver Matt Kenseth is an avid pilot who has logged 600 flying hours since earning his license a few years ago. He often flies his Mooney Acclaim — a four-seat turboprop — to midweek sponsor appearances. Earlier this year, he climbed into a full-motion 737 simulator used to train American Airlines pilots. "With our schedule, I'm in the air so much, it made sense to learn how to fly," he said. "I've always liked anything mechanical. I just enjoy the challenge of trying to learn something different." -- USA Today Plane show helps keep Kenseth's spirits flying high - USATODAY.com |

| Re: Kenseth is flying NASCAR driver Yes and no. I didn't realize he was a Captain for real. How did he earn that designation ? I would have guessed that is an airline designation. If not then any of these private pilots could be captains. |

You have to go in under Rusty and then personal. That's where it talks about his pilots license, it says a jet pilot license, but I read somewhere awhile back that he was a captian. |
