NASCAR.COM - Edwards' No. 99 Ford fails Dover post-race inspection - Sep 23, 2007

Why won't this cost him the race win???

It would be double standards. A couple years ago at Las Vegas, the 48 was too low in post-race inspection. As usual, Na$car slaps them a meager fine and spanks Knaus with a wet noodle, and they still keep the win.

Therefore, the way I understand the reasoning...

pre-race discoveries = malice of forethought

and post-race infractions = happenstance...

eh?

As cynical as it may seem ... yes. Another car slamming you in the rear can, obviously, change the structure of the car. How can you blame th eteam for that ? I'm not trying to defend anyone here. I wouldn't care if was Tony or Jr or even one of the not so beloved drivers.

Re: Cousin Carl Fails Post-Race Inspection!

if a little congrads tap can lead to structural damage, then I think they need to rethink thier biulding process, I think thier using that as a scap goat, not that they intentionally got the car low. I was probably just from twisting wedge in and out of the car that it ended up low.
I bet it was but a 1/4" or so low
