Re: Waltrip losing sponsors for Reutimann?

Cut to the chase. There are two guy's I can think of at the forefront that need to get out of the drivers seat and put someone in that can run good for their sponser.Mikey and Kyle Petty.

I see no argument there. I really don't understand why Kyle doesn't get out while he can. His career could very easily go in a couple of directions. Mikey needs to get out because he has zero to offer at this point.

I have yet to see an owner/driver that has showered the series with success. Even his own brother would and probably did tell him that. Mikey's success rate is not very good as a driver. His only success was with DEI. None before and none since.

What amazes me is why a manufacturer just coming into the series would even go with him since, again, his success rate as a driver wasn't very good and he has no history as a cup series owner. Had Toyota done a one or two car deal it might have made some sense but Mikey and Dale are beyond their winning years.

Nope I didn't expect a championship but I didn't expect that there would be so many races they wouldn't even qualify for.

Yup I'll buy into that but it is more of a miracle than the norm. I think there are some that could do it but it will take some away from whatever they do best.
