After months of speculation, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. finally showed off his new colors today in Dallas, unveiling his 2008 Sprint Cup ride, the No. 88 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Impala SS.

The car will have sponsorship from Mountain Dew, Amp energy drink and the National Guard. Earnhardt’s car will carry No. 88.

While the rumors had abounded for weeks about the car number and the sponsorship package, at long last the rumors can be put to rest.

I hope they run each sponsor on seprate cars/races, all 3 on 1 car IMHO is too much, over crowded. mountain dew looks squished in like and after thought.

I wasn't real impressed. I thought for his dollar value that it would be more of a standout paint scheme. Of course between now and mid Feb it could change totally.

Don't like it. Too busy! I also wish the 88 looked more like the 8 and the 3. Know what I mean? The 3 and the 8 sort of leaned toward the hood of the car. This design is boring.

Don't like it at all ...

I agree.Never thought they could come up with a paint job to match how ugly the COT's are.Seem's I was wrong as they did it twice with little e's car's.

Those are the ugliest cars I have ever seen! Just my opinion but I think they went out of their way to make them look bad. Probably some inside joke "How bad can we make these cars look and have people still buy our merchandise"
Common look at that Mountain Dew Car how ugly is that hat going to look? But people will still buy them.

I had my hopes up but I'm disappointed. A great paint scheme grabs you the first time you see it and it won't let go. These don't do that for me at all.
