| Re: NASCAR launches spanish-language web site This is crazy. The language of the land is English. Will NASCAR.com put their site in Polish if we get a driver from Poland ? Now that the Busch series is in Canada should they add French also ?? |

| Re: NASCAR launches spanish-language web site OK ... I'll back off on the word "crazy" but I still go with my original thought that English is the language of the land. Does Walmart have a Spanish speaking site. Does NASCAR have just a Spanish site ??? What about all the other foreign speaking fans?

| Re: NASCAR launches spanish-language web site If anyone would care to look beyond their noses they'd see that, except for possibly Chinese, Spanish is the most widely spoken language in the world. That, dear friends, is because the Spanish colonized most of the world many years before your grandparents were born. I also happen to know that just outside Minneapolis lives some very quiet people who can barely speak english, some not but about a half a dozen words. Those people are Finnish and many have been here 40 years or more. Why nor rail against them? And for those that don't know, English is the official language of business world wide and the official language of Aviation, world wide. When you fly into any country in the world, the tower speaks only English. How do you think the people in, say, Poland or Paraguay or Zimbabwe, like that? I live in Texas, and am very, very aware of the Mexican influence on our system. And I'm very, very aware of the illegal problem. But that doesn't have anything to do with NASCAR, nor a NASCAR website intended for Spanish speaking people. Vince said it's probably because of JPM's popularity, I think he's right .. do you honestly think Jimmy Johnson, Dale Jr. or Jeff Gordon could pack the Motodromo in Mexico City like JPM? He may not be as popular in the US, but he's a super star in the Latin American countries. But I guess we have the "Ugly American" problem all over again. Vince doesn't understand what's going on .. but I do. I remember the Germans in the US and how they were treated during WWI and WWII. And the American citizens of Japanese decent were imprisoned during WWII because of hate and bigotry. You people sound just like those bigots. If you have a problem with illegal immigration, talk to your congressman. That's what they're there for. But it's not NASCAR's fault, nor JPM's fault, nor Aric Amirola's fault, nor Marcos Ambrose's fault .. it's your fault because all you do is stand around and ***** about it instead of holding the people in Washington's feet to the fire over this thing. Direct your venom towards the culprits, not the innocents.

| Re: NASCAR launches spanish-language web site I don't see what the problem is with them having a Spanish web site. I think the Busch race has proven there are plenty of fans in Mexico. I see nothing wrong with having a web site for them. |
