| Waltrip hires technical director Warren According to the Associated Press, "Michael Waltrip hired Dr. Eric Warren as technical director, the first of many moves he hopes will strengthen his three-car team... Warren, who has a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering from North Carolina State University, spent the last five years as technical director at Evernham Motorsports. He was replaced midway through this season as team owner Ray Evernham refocused his energy on building cars to help his slumping team." Can he help Waltrip get things turned around? | Re: Waltrip hires technical director Warren I think it'll help them hiring this guy. I mean he can't really hurt them and make them run much worse than they already do. I also believe that Mikey shouyld give some thought to getting out of the car, at least the rest of this year and next year. He needs to take the time to get the company on a some what solid footing and that needs to be his top priority right now. |

| Re: Waltrip hires technical director Warren He could bring Smokey Yunick back from the dead and hire him and it'd still be MWR, run by Michael Waltrip, and I'd still think he's a jerk. |

I've offered my mea culpa's and hopefully haven't had more than six or seven of our members here put me on <IGNORE>. Oh well, tomorrow's another day and only three more until we leave for Alaska. P.S. I tried to watch Dave Despain's "Inside NASCAR" with Dave, Schrader, Biffle and Mikey, last night. FWIW, I'm even more convinced that the guy is a bonefide jerk.
