Charting the chase (part 1)

After 26 races, this year's field for the 2007 edition of the Chase for the NEXTEL Cup is set and the dozen drivers that made the playoffs are ready for their title runs.

This year's Chase is seeded based on the number of wins racked up during the regular season, so the huge point margin Jeff Gordon built is erased. Gordon will line-up behind his Hendrick Motorsports teamate Jimmie Johnson, who led the series with six wins in the first 26 races.

Isn't it amazing that the top 2 in "points" were caught cheating earlier in the year?
