Not a big fan of Tony Stewart but he did say something really funny just a few minutes ago after he got out of the car in CA qualifying.

Gotta wonder if the tracks are suffering financially because of this top-35 thing ...

I'll tell ya what, it would be more exciting to see a Heat Race to qualify like they do on the short tracks. Even if its just the top-35. Pick a number, that's where you start the Heat Race. Where you finish determines where you start in the Feature. Now THAT would be worth the price of admission.

Had a scanner at Bristol.... wife is a 'smoke fan'.... was well dis-chuffed in that Tony doesnt speak on the radio.... but then again this was Bristol and the COT on a user friendly track.... yawn, what was there to talk about...?

Just for information, Montoya's spotter spent the whole race screaming at him!

I have a scanner myself. Not much discussion during a race, but still fun to listen to.

The fact that Montoya's spotter screamed at him the whole race makes me laugh! I'm not surprised.

Newman's spotter talked him around the entire race..... the best part was when Newman told his spotter it was 'gunna be ugly'.... just didnt expect him to make a move so fast!!!

Kyle Busch was fun.... he wasnt impressed with the Newman/Jr tussle... then again, he wasnt pushing for chase points!

I have a scanner also. I like listening to the drivers but I also like listening to radio and tv. During the truck race I listened to speed and all the replays on speed were on the big screen and I could hear what they were saying on the scanner.
