I know Mikey will be there but lets hope that Dim stays home.

Speaking of Mikey ... whatever became of his accident ? Wasn't there supposed to be a court appearance ? Any news ?

I heard that there was a knot in the string that stretches between the two tin cans. I could be wrong.

ESPN apologizes for lost Busch race feed: ESPN has apologized for losing the video of the last few laps of the Food City 250 Busch Series race Friday night at Bristol Motor Speedway. Viewers at home watching on ESPN2 saw a blank screen for those last laps, which featured a dicey duel between Jason Leffler and Kasey Kahne, with Kahne holding off Leffler to win the race. "We sincerely apologize for briefly losing transmission due to human error and have taken steps to prevent this from happening again," ESPN spokesman George McNeilly said Saturday. "As soon as transmission was re-established we apologized to viewers and replayed the last two laps of the race."(SceneDaily.com)(8-25-2007)

Also the sport on ABC is now call ESPN on ABC. We'll get much of the same I guess!!!

I'm not happy with them right now because they neglected to show Clint Bowyer's post race interview, and he finished 3rd. I was under the impression that the top 3 finishers were interviewed.

I haven't seen the show, SP, so I'm flying in response to your statement.

It seems to be Disney/ESPN/ESPNjr/ABC's idea of quality race coverage is put on a useless one-hour pre-show, which does virtually nothing except give the sponsors a place to put their messages, and do meaningless interviews which have been done before, and much better, on SPEED. Then, as soon as the checkered falls, they show the crew celebrating (which is about as enjoyable as a root canal), maybe one driver interview, a quick Victory lane piece, then <poof!> it's off to swimming or cheer leading.

Oh well, the fans screamed for the NASCAR races to be taken off the small cable channels TNN/SPEED/TBS/the old non-ABC affiliated ESPN) and put on the major networks, so they could get more coverage. Guess what? It happened! Now we all have to live with it. More commercials and more inept, generic coverage. Ain't life grand?

Re: FREAKIN Coverage by ESPN

Geez people, do we really want to go back to the annoying Waltrip "boogity" 5 year old crap? Or maybe Hammonds that think hes the sexiest thing to walk the earth. (ive seen burn victims come out looking alot better than him). Or maybe we can see what exactly getting loose or tight is on the track? They might show you what toe / caster /camber does! Or the constant barrage of lame jabs & insults to their reporters or announcers?

Sorry I dont feel like I have to be entertained by two announcers spraying each other with water guns! What does that have to do with NASCAR?

Stop the stupid crap, give more insight to the fans and dont be afraid to explain more complicated issues to the viewers. Start asking better questions to the drivers not some something to stir the pot with another driver.

Ill take ESPN any day of the week.

Decisions, decisions, decisions... Would I rather spend an evening trying to swap bodily fluids with Catherine Zeta-Jones or Jeff Hammond?

No contest. It Catherine! Now, what the Hell am I going to do with Michael Douglas?
