Cool Re: Fast Push For Gordon ?

If Gordon really got special treatment, NASCAR would have put Kenseth to the back of the pack and let them duke it out. Kenseth clearly tossed Gordon to the side on purpose.

The following is from Billy the Beach Dude:

he dude, uh yeah, um, gordon kind of admitted to it. you can, like, look at the, like, replay and tell he slides up the track and, like, is really loose. Dude I'm like a gordon fan, and even I know that, lame...

If Gordon hadn't got loose and slide up in front of Matt, Matt would not have punted Gordon. But you're right it was on purpose.

actually, I believe Gordon said he was "tight" and was chasing the car up the track.

just a reminder: "loose" is when the back end slides out and "tight" is when the front end won't turn.

though I don't generally like drivers who "punt" others, I saw nothing wrong with what Kenseth did: he had momentum and was clearly passing Gordon when Gordon came all the way across the track and "blocked" him .. Gordon was at fault for not controlling his car better - what he did was dangerous and could have resulted in both cars crashing rather than one spinning harmlessly into the soggy infield.

Well then why didn't he get "fined" for the "loosely" used term of "actions detrimental to....."?

I guess because it wasn't on purpose.

because there's nothing in the rules about driving stupid .. especially when you take yourself out and nobody else. if there were, most drivers on the track now and in the past would have a hefty "fine" record...

Re: Fast Push For Gordon ?

don't anybody get the idea I've turned into a JG fan but I believed him when he said he was trying to get out of the way but had to chase the car too hard and Matt was on him to quick. And I thought the reason that they had the guys push him out of the grass was because they figured the tow truck might get stuck in the wet grass too.

Oops, my bad. Tight, loose, I do get them confused. But true no way that was Matt's fault. I don't particular care for them punting other drivers either, usually, but sometimes it can't be helped.

so you're pretty much saying gordon hates having a good handling car and blocking another car is dangerous? Isn't that like a distruction derby with F1 rules?
