All the voting for round one is completed and we have 15 drivers to chose from at this point. In this round we'll have a group of 8 and then a group of 7. We'll take 3 from each group and round three will be a one shot round with 6 nominees. Top vote getter of that round will become your choice of the best rep. for NASCAR .... in your opinion.

Yeah, no disrespect to Labonte, but how can he possibly be the best All Around NASCAR rep when he's barely ever shown or mentioned during races?

Well I'll try to explain this a bit more. The best all around rep. It is all a matter of perception. It can and should apply to their entire career. Just because a driver is not in the news constantly doesn't mean that they cannot be what you see as a great representative of NASCAR. My particular vote is for one that isn't a constant front runner but I view him as a great rep for the series .... in my eyes. In theory it shouldn't be a popularity contest but a look at who has been a positive representative for NASCAR. I used a list of current drivers only and the list was the top 50 in points at the time the poll started. There are many that could be considered the best rep that are no longer active drivers.

See, this is my mistake, then. I thought winning and pop culture popularity were factors along with character. I really am not educated enough to comment on the character of these individuals, so I'm going to have to bow out in favor of less ignorant NASCAR fans than myself.

I would say Dale Jr. He is what he is and doesn't try to appear polished or refined. Jr. has the mix of good ole boy racer and popularity because of the increase of NASCAR current media exposure.

From your perspective probably no one and that is exactly the way yo should feel ..... but ...... you get one vote and my guess is that it'll take more than one to win. While I may agree with your choices, your reasons may not be enough to convince someone else.
