Valvoline Evernham Racing driver Scott Riggs will auction his race-used helmet from this weekend's NASCAR Nextel Cup Series event at Michigan International Speedway.
The proceeds from the winning bid will go directly to Auto Value-Bumper To Bumper's Charity Cars program.
Riggs will be wearing a one-of-a-kind helmet designed by Ryan Young at Indocil Art. The helmet will be autographed by Riggs and be put up for bid on eBay. Details are available at The Official Scott Riggs Web Site.
The Charity Cars program receives donated cars from store customers and then allows the Auto Value-Bumper To Bumper experts to inspect and ensure that each car is ready for the road. The refurbished vehicles will then be presented to over 500 victims of domestic violence across the country.
