| Kenny Wallace Stepping Down DENVER -- Furniture Row Racing, a Denver-based Nextel Cup Series racing team, announced Tuesday that Kenny Wallace is stepping down as the driver of No. 78 car. Officials for the team have said that Wallace will remain with the team as a consultant and will be called upon to run races as needed, but that he will also be available to drive for another team. "Kenny has been the perfect driver for us as we have looked to his veteran experience during our first year and half in the Cup Series," said Joe Garone, team manager for Furniture Row Racing. "His personality has brought much positive exposure to the team and to Furniture Row Companies, the team's owner and sponsor. This has included winning the fan vote to participate in this year's All-Star Challenge events." Looking at the remainder of this season, officials for Furniture Row Racing have said that they will be intensifying efforts to fine-tune their performance in preparation for next season's run. "I've enjoyed my run as the primary driver for Furniture Row despite all the challenges of a new team," Wallace said. "I look forward to helping them as they move forward in building a program that will be competitive for many years to come." I realize he's not the best driver in the field, but I like Kenny. |

| Re: Kenny Wallace Stepping Down I too am a big fan of Kenny and I also like Mike. Its really too bad that personality doesn't make a winning race car driver ,as Kenny would be forever a champion and no one else would stand a chance . Mike had an awesome ride and was doing terrific ,then he was let go because the team was folding . That team was and is the #12 team that Ryan Newman is in . I still say to this day that Rusty had his part in getting rid of Mike ,as Rusty couldn't handle the idea that Mike was out doing him .I've been a fan of Mike & Kenny since 1994 .

| Re: Kenny Wallace Stepping Down Yes he did. Think it was at the end of 2001 and a few races at the start of 2002. I might be wrong, but I think thats it. He never drove for a whole season there. |

Not to be critical Not being used to driving car's with SO much horse power ,Kenny told Robert Yates that he was afraid of the 28 car and Robert told him to just race the car and if he wrecked it that they would fix it. |
