Hope it helps him.Link, New Crew Chief for Bobby Labonte: Petty Enterprises announces veteran Doug Randolph as crew chief for the #43 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge driven by 2000 Nextel Cup Champion Bobby Labonte. Randolph, who takes over the crew chief duties from Paul Andrews, will be on top of the pit box for this weekend's 3M Performance 400 at the two-mile Michigan International Speedway. "Doug Randolph brings an outstanding resume to Petty Enterprises," said Vice President of Race Operations Robbie Loomis. "He was a winner in the Busch Series and he brings a wealth of knowledge to this team. Bobby (Labonte) and the #43 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge team need to take the next step. Doug is the leader that we feel can do that for us. Paul Andrews is a championship crew chief that did some great things during his time at Petty Enterprises," continued Loomis. "He is a man of high character that built a solid team around Bobby Labonte. We wish Paul all the best. We're still very involved with Tim Andrews as a development driver for Petty Enterprises and will continue that relationship." Petty Enterprises has plans of entering Tim Andrews in the ARCA Series event at the Talladega Superspeedway this October. Randolph, 41, brings over 20 years of NASCAR experience to Petty Enterprises. He most recently directed the NASCAR Busch Series efforts of Reagan Smith. "Looking at other options I felt working with everyone at Petty Enterprises was right for me," said Randolph. Credit: Autostock Randolph named crew chief for No. 14 in '06 MB2 Motorsports to team Tennessee native with veteran Marlin MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- MB2 Motorsports announced that Doug Randolph will be the crew chief for the team's No. 14 Chevrolet, which will be driven by Sterling Marlin in 2006. MB2 also announced that Randolph will replace Rodney Childers as crew chief of Scott Riggs' No. 10 Valvoline team for the remaining two races of 2005. MB2's No. 10 will change to No. 14 next season. Randolph joined MB2 following the 2003 season as crew chief for Riggs' Chevrolet. He held that post until June of this year when he was named race coordinator and driver development manager. As MB2's driver development manager, Randolph worked closely with 20-year-old Kraig Kinser and directed the sprint-car racer to a pair of strong performances in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. Kinser won the Talladega race from the pole in October and finished eighth at Michigan in August. "Doug is a valuable asset to our organization," said Jay Frye, MB2's CEO and general manager. "He is not only a talented individual, but a team player. He and Sterling are looking forward to working with each other. They are proud Tennesseans." Randolph has Tennessee roots, just as Marlin does (Columbia, Tenn.). He was raised in Morristown, Tenn., and earned a bachelor of science degree in wildlife and fisheries biology in 1988 from the University of Tennessee.
