My friend just called my yesterday, to let me know we had just scored 4 free tickets, with hospitality passes, to the Bristol night race!

Wooooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

This will be my first time doing to that track, and will bring my total to four different tracks I;ve seen a race at.

Dover
Lowes
Phoenix
Bristol

I've also been to Daytona, but not for a race. I just went into Daytona USA, and did the track tour!

That is what I hear as well! I've wanted to go for many years! I have family from there, and they gave up their tickets after 30 years, and "forgot" to offer them to us. rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Ah well, I'm going now. I really couldn't have gone all the time anyway, it's 480 miles from me! We are going to stay about 2 hours north, and drive the rest of the way home Sunday morning.

Anyone from the area have any secrets about parking, like the best place to park to not be in a parking lot all night? I've got some spots in Dover to tell ya about in trade!

Thanks! I'm really looking forward to it! And it's even better that one of the guys I go to Dover with got the tickets. It will be a trip to remember for years to come, and it will be with a real race fan, not just someone who won the tickets on a whim, or because of connections!

Yes my friend you are in fact lucky. Make sure you make a large GTG sign so we can get some TV time.

Here is where we've parked at for the past 2 year's.



See where it says "Hick's White Top Campground" at the bottom of this page ? This is on top if a BIG hill ,they have camping and parking. We park up there and take a grill and all the fixen's .After the race we set up there and watched everyone leave . You could even see the hauler's leave . We stayed up there until it was just starting to get dark and the traffic was really thinned out . Like you didn't have to set for a long amount of time to get out of the parking area and for us it was pretty much a straight shot home with no traffic snarl's . This is right across from the track literally . BTW...we live like 45 minute's from Bristol

Yes Phil20. If you park in the Earhardt Campground across the 4-lane from the track, not the one beside the track. You can go across the new campground they built across the hill and come out on Exide Drive. At the end of Exide you will turn right and that will take you back to I-81. They did only charge $10 for parking. It is behind the junk stands (souvenir). Not a bad walk and easy exit.

Total Congrats to you Phils!!!! I'm sure you will have a blast!! Never been there, so I have no good or secret knowledge to share with you. Hopefully, some day we will be fortunate to get there!!

Lucky ^%$#&%$@&! Just ribbin ya... Congrats.... My advice is to park away from the track and walk if you can. When you leave the race have the fastest person( this should also be the designated driver) walk for the car. By the time you all get to where the car is parked he/she will have it runnin and ready for you to just hop in and go. I did it last year at the busch night race. Beat all the traffic.

I have gone to Bristol 2x every year since back before everyone else caught on to what a great track it was.

The weekend also ended up including a track tour, which was actually just a walk around the track down both sides of pit road!

In the pics, I'm the guy in the Dark Blue Sleeveless shirt, with the Va Tech hat on. That is my Dad with me!
