Great pics Phil! I would love to go there someday. I couldnt help but notice the closeup of Harvicks car, with his name on it. Anyone notice the Registered Trademark symbol after his name? Are these guys so important they are trademarking their own names? Or is it just the style it is written in?

Thanks for the comps on the pics! Bristol was a goal of mine, and I got lucky to have it fall into my lap!


As far as the TM goes, I think they have been doing it for years. Petty may have been the first, but I know Dale Sr did, and Jeff Gordon, as part of the Chase Authentic deal, I think.

That was a big deal with Jr as well, since Teresa (sp) owned his name.

On a side note, that is why a lot of WWE folks wrestle under fake names. They end up not being able to use their own name if they move on.

I'm willing to bet a lot of athletes register at least the likeness of their signature.

I guess it's like protecting your property these days!

As for the trademark symbol next to Harvick's name ,I think that all the driver's name's are registered trademark's.

From the picture's it looks like you decided to stay on top of Hick's. if so what an awesome view eh!?!

That is cool! My Dad grew up 30 miles up the road from the track, but I had never been there. I really love that area of the country. Delaware is so flat, it makes for ahuge change in scenery!

I'm not sure what they were myself. it was on the area where they were issuing shocks, that is where Harvikcs car is being pushed to, and I took the pic where his helmet is hanging, in the same spot where those items were.

Maybe someone more thenically savvy than I can help us out.

Well, I do ride motorcycle, it might be time!

Maybe one day, I figured after doing my four years in the USMC, and not getting one, it might not be the thing for me!
