Re: The Brothers RECKLESS

In reality what happens off the track is pretty much none of NASCARs business. They don't even do a good job with the "events" that happen on the track. Sorry Smoke but Daytona still bothers me. Now the team owners could surely do something but lets face it. They are not going to suspend their own paycheck. I'm a zero fan of the Shrub boys but they tend to drive the wheels off the cars and score points for the championship. I would personally vote to suspend but again ... NASCAR has no authority.

Re: The Brothers RECKLESS

You are correct about Kurt and in reality there probably have been others but in Kurt's case he was gone anyway. Needless to say there has to be a real good reason to sit a driver out of a race other than squeeling tires ..... off the track !!

I agree....getting a ticket is not the same as being arrested.

Being arrested (and convicted) labels you with either a misdemeanor or a criminal conviction.

Getting a ticket (while vehicle is moving) gets you points on your license and increased insurance costs.

Now since Kyles' already got a gig...this won't matter and he is not making Penske any money unless he is driving.

NOW FROM AVERAGE JOE PUBLIC....try getting a job like driving a tow truck (for example) without a clean DMV

Re: The Brothers RECKLESS

You're talking about driving on public highways versus driving on an enclosed race track. Yes I want my cab driver, fire truck driver, mailman, etc. to have a clean record because they are on my public streets with a history of violations but show me a kid that hasn't squeeled his tires. Hell I'm a retiree and if you get in my way I may squeel mine trying to get around you. If I get a ticket I'll suffer the consequences. Punishment by NASCAR for off track antics just doesn't seem fair even though I don't care for the Brothers Shrub. If NASCAR gets into their personal lives for squeeling tires what will they be into next??? They need to regulate and be fair about the justice they are allowed to dispense. They are doing a terrible job at that.

Re: The Brothers RECKLESS

Please allow me to clarify...what I posted earlier was that Kurt had been benched last year.........duh, he was arrested. I was just commenting on a previous post.

I did not say that Kyle should be pulled from a race....I said he was fast and all over the place...as in the Taz Devil comparison

Heck, he's a professional tire squeeler...they all are (except Mark Martin)

Now where I think you got confused was when I made the analogy of someone having a job DRIVING anything, requires a clean DMV. As long as Kyle keeps his day job he shouldn't have any problems. So as long as he is not driving a cab, delivering milk etc...were good....right?

Re: The Brothers RECKLESS

T-gal I have no problem with anyone on these boards and trust me I was not trying to get at you. My feeling throughout this entire post has been two points. NASCAR does a terrible job enforcing their own justice and what happens off the track is none of their business .... for the most part. I suppose there are some things that could impact the sport but not much that they can control.

Yes we are good !!

Well, well, well, Ku and Ky don't they just make you want to throw-up? They sure do it to me. You know Gordo is saying WHAT IS THIS LITTLE WEASLE THINKING? Me and my racing buddies all agree that Ky was to inmature to move up, and he proves it on and off the track.

Re: The Brothers RECKLESS

I voted that they should let it go. I do not think a persons work and personal life should effect each other.
