If they race today the qualifying stands why not at a later date? Don't really know just thinking that way.

NASCAR just pushed the starting time for today's race back from 12:00 ET due to more rain. They're going to release another update at 11:30 today.
And Jayski's reporting they have until Wednesday to run the race. If they can't get the race in by Wednesday, it will become the last race of the year, a Chase race, after Homestead. The average high for the weekend of Nov 24/25 in Michigan is 43º and the average low is 28º.

Heck with it... just move that last race to Las Vegas... it will be a lot more temperate than that.
