No it's not his fault. But alot of people are not going to stop watching the races because they show him so much, instead they start to dislike him. I don't so much dislike him, it's more of getting sick of seeing him and hearing about him every time something Nascar is on. Thats not his fault, but it's not my fault that I would like to watch a race where the majority of it is not centered around him, Johnson and Jr.( and I;m a Jr fan).
And really got tired of the baby crap. He and his wife are not the only ones to have one. Michael McSwain's wife had one a few weeks ago, without resaerching it, can you tell me what they had?

as it has been, so it will always be.

when one becomes the "darling" of an influential group, others develop an intense dislike for the one. some, such as you dear SpaceCadet, are immune to this phenomena. others mindlessly worship the "darling". the power of the "darling" over the worshipers is amazingly strong. some of the "group" become worshipers. the power increases.

power, or the appearance of power, breeds jealousy. jealousy = hate. those of like mind gather together and the hate intensifies. the fire burns brightly.

and what has the one done to deserve this hate? the "sin" is having been noticed by the "group" who make the average into celebrity.

I don't even know what Jeff Gordon had, or if I did know at one time, I don't remember. I pay zero attention to the stuff that doesn't relate to the sport because I really don't care about their personal lives. But, I agree with your point. My guess is that I'm one of the very few who don't know. The other two people on the planet who don't know what they had live in my house - my husband and my son. However, they both know who she's married to - some supermodel. Jeez, I guess they've got their priorities straight!

You are so very kind - but believe me, the "smart" part is highly debateable! (Like, is that even close to spelled right?) And I must confess to you, that when JG spun out I rather loudly exclaimed - well, screamed if I'm being honest - Tony's cuss word, followed up with "how did that moron let himself overdrive the worst turn on the course with only a few laps to go! You'd think he was a rookie!" I quickly regained my composure, remembering that he's not the first experienced driver to bend under pressure, just like Tony earlier. Guess they're both human, after all. But jeez, I thought he had that race wrapped up! That's racing, and that's the part of racing that keeps us coming back for more.
