i hate it (even though i'm a gordon fan) because it doesn't show who has the fastest car. i like knowing that whoever has the pole has a good chance of doing well.

kinda puts montoya and robby at a disadvantage .. also will be interesting to see how far carpentier get thru the field. wonder if NASCAR will break out any of those rain tires that goodyear supposedly has locked up in one of their trailers?

NA$CAR doesn't want to have qualifying tomorrow 'cause stories like Marcos' and Boris and Carpentier will likely steal HMS' spotlight... after all, that's where the $$$ are.

i may have said this somewhere but jeff gordon hasnt finished better than 13th in a road course since 2001.and by the way kevin harvick is the most underated road course driver in the series.go 29!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

don't think so, I'd say Ryan is .. Happy's about 4th or 5th behind Tony, Robby, J. Gordon and maybe Montoya. If Boris could get a regular cup ride, he'd be in that neighborhood too .. until then he'll always be a "ringer".

Didn't he win a road course last year? I think he did, but regardless, this "set the field by points" crap is beyond ridiculous. I'd rather have them flip a coin, draw straws, pick numbers from a hat - anything besides using points. I don't agree that the qualifying was cancelled just to screw R. Gordon and give J. Gordon an advantage as someone else posted. I don't think they think that hard. I'm more apt to believe it's just another stupid NASCAR rule they need to change, or "past practice", as it were. They're just doing what they usually do. Really irks me. And just a side note, while I'm not a big Havick fan and I'm not sure he is the most underated road course driver, I do feel he is much better than he is given credit for.

BFD. Gordo's got the pole due to rain. Let's see what he can do come race day. However, he's really good at driving around the track in front with no competition.

He's got the Championship tied up. Give someone else the glory for once!
