| Re: Is NASCAR In Trouble Of Losing The Link No, I don't know who specifically but "names" open up a lot of doors for a ride early on in a career. Take drivers of equal talent and one having the right name and the other an unknown - which will go farther/faster? |

| Re: Is NASCAR In Trouble Of Losing The Link I don't know if you would count them or not ,but what about the Allison's ? And the Wallace's ? I think had Davey not been killed we would of seen his son Robby in Nascar. Robby is now 16 year's old and a spiting image of his dad .A few year's after Davey's death Robby tried pursuing racing in go cart competition ,had a pretty hard wreck and it scared Davey's widow Liz so bad that she said that was it . Jason Jarrett tried racing ,but just didn't seem to have the racing gene ,much like Terry Labonte's son Justin. Young Matt Martin seems to the racing talent of his dad Mark .He is 16 and at age 12 Matt was signd to be Ford's youngest development driver. However when Mark moved to Ginn Matt was signed to their racing development. At age 13 he won 2 times racing against people 10 -20 year's his senior.Matt runs in the ASA Late Model Southern Sportsman Series and FASCARS Pro Truck and Sportsman Series.Matt even has his own website and is currently sponsored by Coke . ![]() You spoke of the Earnhardt legacy per Ralph ,Dale Sr and Dale Jr ,but what about Kerry? True Kerry doesn't haven't the ability that Dale Jr has ,but his son Jeffery seems to .Jeffery has been signed to drive for DEI in the Busch East Series and it is reported that he will race in the regular Busch Series for DEI in 2008. ![]() Jeffery Earnhardt^ These are the ones that I can think of right off the top of my head at 6:47 AM

| Re: Is NASCAR In Trouble Of Losing The Link The Wallace family is continuing the links I'd say. You've got Rusty's son, Steve, driving the 66 HomeLife Communities Dodge for Rusty Wallace, Inc. in the Bush series. Right now he's 16th in the points standings. And then there's Mike Wallace's daughter Chrissy (Kenny and Rusty's niece), who they're grooming to move up. Yea, I know she's a girl and the road ahead for her is gonna be tough, especially if and when she comes into the Bush series, but still, she's a family link who's in racing. |

| Re: Is NASCAR In Trouble Of Losing The Link Dang, hate to double post. But don't count the Allisons out yet... I just remembered that Donnie Allison is busy teaching his grandson, Justin, to race. Justin is 15 years old, so it'll probably be a while before you start hearing allot about him. He won his first race in the Allison Legacy Series Race at Myrtle Beach Speedway on Saturday, June 24, 2007, where he broke Pittsboro, North Carolina's Michael Cooper's four race winning streak in the Allison Touring Series. ![]() And last Saturday, he came in second in the fifty lap Touring race at Hickory Motor Speedway. Presently, he's running 5th in the standings. |
