Re: paint jobs

my favorite paint job was kinda plain, but flashy at the same time: I found these pics on the internet and they give a hint of what the car looked like....the colors in the pictures are washed out but you can still see what the design was. this is the 1972 Coca Cola Chevy Monte Carlo driven by Bobby Allison in the 1973 season.

I'm kind of partial to that one as well, but I had a 72 Monte, so I'm a bit biased!

I also think that the Silver Fox's 21 Purolator Ford, and any Petty car are awesome as well!

My 72 Monte! BTW. Bobby's is based on a 71 in those pics. The grille and square park light in the bumper are evidence of that. My 72 had the park light Vertical, beside the grille! I'll have to get my pics out! Film pics suck for posting! This pic is a film pic, but I worked it a bit!

Re: paint jobs

Very nice Phils20

Wow, there's so many. One I like was Ken Schraders #25 Folgers Chevy Lumina he drove for Hendrix Motorsports.
Not sure what year or race he ran this particular scheme, but its before 1990. He changed sponsors from Folgers to Kodiak in 1990.

thanks guys! Good choices from you guys with your paint schemes!

Wish I still had the car! I had it from 86-99, and my Dad and I did some of the work, with paint and body work prefessionally done!

And look at how flat that rear spoiler is! Man, that is a nice qualifying set up right there! Great looing car. Any GM Goodwrench car was great looking.

I thought maybe you were going to show some of the Peter Max paint scheme pics!

Those pics were good, though!

Ahh, you posted it before I could. I would also add Kulwicki's Hooters car as well. Gotta give the nod to Awesome Bill though.
