Re: paint jobs

I don't think Kulwicki started driving the Hooters car until 1991, but it looked great.
Hooters on anything looks good.

This is my favorite paint scheme ^

An although I'm not a Gordon fan I liked this car since it appeared to change colors

And I think that it was Tony Stewart who drove a red metallic colored car in the Busch series once that I really liked, but as I said the #28 is tops for me

And the Mighty Mouse patch

Thank you 3 Fan Forever !

I so wish that I would of become a Nascar fan sooner so I could of seen more of Davey ,but as it was I became a fan at the start of the 93 season.

Its pretty much like "It was better to of loved ,than to of never of loved at all "

Sorry you lost me in regards to the "Mighty Mouse Patch"

For the 1992 Hooters 500 in Atlanta (I was there), Ford and NASCAR allowed Alan to change the lettering on the front spoiler of his car from Thunderbird to Underbird. To do that, he put a patch of Mighty Mouse over the "Th" in Thunderbird. Alan wanted to do this because he felt he was the underdog that day. He, along with 5 other drivers, were in contention for the championship that year. All the others ran into trouble. Davey wrecked and he was out of it. Alan came in 2nd behind Bill Elliot, but won the championship. After the race, he pulled a comb out of a glove box made especially for his car that day, and combed his hair. Everybody in the stands got a big kick out of it. It was a cool moment in NASCAR.

Awww okay I see it now . I always thought that they had just broke off the "TH" on purpose to make it say "Underbird".I'd never seen a picture showing the Mighty Mouse patch covering the "TH"

And thank you for clearing that up for me
