| Re: Best All Around NASCAR Representative (11-20) Believe it or not, I went with Mark Martin too. He's a pretty good guy and knows allot about racing. Sometimes he gets a little over the top thanking his fans and sponsors, but all in all, he'd do fine. As much as I support Junior, I don't think he's quite ready yet. Give him a couple a years with HMS and he may just get there. |

| Re: Best All Around NASCAR Representative (11-20) I'm gonna depart from the crowd. Dale Jr. gets my vote. while he isn't as polished as I'd like, he is probably the most recognizable face in the sport and the "Earnhardt" in his name completes the package. Montoya has a large international following, but still isn't known as well in the US. I doubt 2 in 10 Americans would even know his name, much less his face. The average American has no idea who Mark is (winning championships gets that extra bit of recognition) Sadly, he has to follow Jr. & JPM in this round, though he may be the best suited for the job.

| Re: Best All Around NASCAR Representative (11-20) Maybe it wasn't explained well enough in the first grouping. I am just curious as to who you (GTG members) think is the best representative for NASCAR in general. My thought wasn't to appeal to the Middle East or Canada or people who live on some isolated island. Just a general question of who you think is the best rep. As noted I am using the current points standings list and including the top 50 drivers. Does that explain it any better ?

| Re: Best All Around NASCAR Representative (11-20) Really only two choices stick out here, Jr and Martin. The rest just kind of linger hoping for things to fall into place. I voted for Martin on the same basis I picked Burton in the last one. He's had a great career (although the only major win that both Mark and Jeff have is the 600) and is still a good competitor as a veteran. The fact that neither of them has fallen off too much like others scores them big points. And also like Jeff, Mark knows more than anyone what he's talking about when he opens his mouth. |
