what's a guy gotta do to get some press?

seems all the sunlight's been sucked away from Gordo recently. he's (still) a brand new papa, just finished 3rd at Indy stretching his points lead to almost 400 points and still can't get any press. Tony's mouth, Denny's driving, Burton's anger, Johnson's eyebrows, Jr.s engine, Ginn's "merger", Shrub's free-agency, the new YHNL team and even Sebastien Bourdais' speculated jump to NASCAR are what's grabbed the press.

any ideas how to help him turn this around?

He'll get his press in November!

Not that I'm pulling for that, but he has just been so solid this year, I feel that he will have the last headline!

At least until the week after NY! Then all the driver changes and rumors will take over!

He needs only to change his attitude. During his next interview he will need to blame all of his problems on assorted other drivers (team mates included) and then you need to pop a big ole nasty word in there as you are admitting that your are driving for DEI next year.

Lolllll Quality. I think the 24 got a ton of press earlier in the year before the baby was born. I couldn't get thru watching a race without the announcers saying something like "new father to be #24, blah blah blah". Maybe ESPN doesn't like the 24 as much as TNT does, lol. I think I like ESPN. A lot.

You got that right. Did you notice that when Tony said BS that ESPN just ignored it? They didn't make a big deal out of it like the other stations do. I liked that. I think I'll do a thread about ESPN, see what everyone thinks so I don't get in trouble for changing the thread topic.

I agree Smoke. Its not like he dropped the F-bomb. The language he used is what most of us hear on a daily basis and no big deal in my mind. You have to admire Tony for what he is, a guy that speaks his mind and doesnt suck up to the networks or Na$car like the current crop of poster boy drivers.

I didnt believe anything that chick told me......nothing against the woman or women in general ( I love em ) but I just didnt buy it
