| Busch apologizes and gets into another controversy? Desperate to do something to get to the front of Sunday's Allstate 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Kyle Busch's team elected to have him pit for four tires on a late-race caution while most of the lead-lap cars remained on the track. Busch, who had one of the fastest cars during the race, restarted 12th on Lap 141 but could only get to fifth in the final 19 laps. He also managed to irritate driver Jeff Burton along the way. ...Asked what he was upset about, Burton replied, "That's between me and Kyle" and declined to answer other questions related to the topic. Busch had just attempted this weekend to clear up another controversy, when he apologized to his Hendrick Motorsports teammates on Saturday for comments he'd made two weeks ago at Chicagoland Speedway. "I have made a lot of mistakes and opened my mouth too much," Busch said. "We had our team meeting and after it was over I went ahead and made an apology to my teammates and my crew chief." -- Charlotte Observer That's Racin' | 07/29/2007 | Kyle Busch works on one fence, finds another needs mending |

| Re: Busch apologizes and gets into another controversy? Burton vs. Busch From my vantage point as a DirecTV HotPass commentator for Jeff Burton, the No. 31 driver was trying to respect Mark Martin — who was having problems with his transmission in second gear — and give Martin an opportunity to get going. There was no reason to run over one another and potentially put everybody else in harm's way. Burton relayed some information through his spotter, Rocky Ryan, to Kyle Busch. He wanted Busch to know what was going on and asked him to be smart and try to make it work for everybody. On the first restart, everything went pretty well. On the next restart — from what I saw and heard — Busch got a little aggressive and roughed up Burton a little bit, making a couple moves that weren't necessary. Burton got upset and emotional about what was going on. Besides Martin, Burton is probably one of the cleanest racers out there. Busch should have appreciated that after his win earlier this year at Bristol. Burton had every opportunity in the world to win that race at Busch's expense, but he didn't. Burton was looking for just a little bit of that same patience from Busch. When he didn't get it, it really upset him. I don't blame him one bit. His crew chief, Scott Miller, did a much better job of controlling his emotions than I would have. That was by Jeff Hammond. I didn't know what had happened til I read this. |

| Re: Busch apologizes and gets into another controversy? Am I the only one who thinks that Jeff can get a little nasty when he is mad?? Dont get me wrong I have a lot of respect for him and his driving style but he can sure get mad as for Kyle he certainly has some maturing to do but I like his abilities bahind the wheel although once again alittle more patience.....again maturity. I look forward to hearing which team he will end up at......I think his future looks bright and look for him to do better than his bro
