I thought Jr.'s slip was when he referred to how much fun the race was. Don't remember what race. I thought he said something like, "Damn, that was fun." or "That sh*t was fun." I think I'm on information overload!

As for hearing the word ... well yes I guess we've all heard it at least once. I played golf today and I may have said it once ... or so. Point is that by FCC laws it is an unacceptable word ... or at least it used to be. By NASCAR rules it is unacceptable behavior and will cause a penalty. Just dispense the justice equally .... PLEASE !!! |

| Re: Bs! UPDATE 2: NASCAR announced that Tony Stewart has been fined $25,000 and penalized 25 NASCAR Nextel Cup Series driver championship points, as a result of using inappropriate language during a post-race televised interview following his victory Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Stewart, driver of the #20 Home Dept Chevrolet, retains his fifth-place standing in the series points, with his total points reduced to 2,599. Stewart violated Section 12-4-A of the series rule book (actions detrimental to stock car racing) by using the inappropriate language. In addition, Stewart’s car owner, Joe Gibbs, has been penalized 25 car owner championship points because of the infraction.(NASCAR PR)(7-31-2007 |

| Re: Bs! I'm sorry, but I think NASCAR has become sissified these days. (I guess I can say that. I've been following NASCAR for almost 30 years.) What they're doing to the drivers is nothing more than a form of castration. They can't say or do anything that's deemed "detrimental to stock car racing", in their opinion. They're so scared of offending some of the people who watch on TV, or show up at the races, that they're putting the drivers and the crew chiefs in glass bubbles. I'm more offended by what NASCAR is doing than what Jr. said or Smoke said. And this was on Cable TV. I've heard much worse there. Will this make me stop supporting and following NASCAR? Absolutely not! I'll be a NASCAR fan till the day I die, regardless of how I feel about the direction NASCAR is going. |
