| Re: Bs! Ya know Phil I think for a while he did get it. He did fine for about a season and then at the 500 he pushed Kenseth off the track and since that point in time it has been the lousy attitude and a seemingly major refusal to admit to it.

You'll get no argument from me there. It's like a friend you have that just makes you shake your head. I do think a bit much is bieng made of it this time, but he brings it on himself. A bad past will do that to ya! |

He does seem to be looking for trouble at times! I thought the comment to the reporter about not seeing any press climbing fences was out of left field! Tony didn't get very far up either this time, but that may have just been the weight of all the crew climbing the fence! |

| Re: Bs! This is my first post here. I've been a lurker for a while but I decided to post today. I'm not a Tony fan right off so that's out in the open. But, I did "feel" good for him winning at Indy. I was happy he won, right up until the point that he got out of the car and started talking. Tony makes it very hard to like him. What is his deal with the interviewers and commentators and his comments about the fence. The fence at Indy is curved inward at the top so you can not climb to the top like some other places. The guy doing the interview simply said they hadn't made changes to the fence so Tony could climb it...then Tony has to be smart about it. Second. Sure we all use the word Tony used in the interview. I do when it's appropriate. Around people I know well who don't mind. I don't do it in front of strangers, I don't do it in public etc...It's called common courtesy. Third. Why did he say it at all? He said for all the BS his fans had put up with? What BS would that be? Maybe he means when people ask about Tony when he pulls stunts like that. Was really happy for him, but he doesn't know how to win gracefully that's for sure. |

| Re: Bs! Hi Bob101 and welcome to our little NASCAR community. Hopefully you have lurked in the shadows long enough to see that we do have a great forum. 99.9% of the posters here have a lot to add to our discussions. The other .01% are BOZO's (sorry guys) and they never stay around. The one thing that we try hard to agree on is to disagree. Your opinion is well worth expressing even if it isn't the same as mine. So far with the tony issue we seem to see things the same way. Regardless of your opinion we're glad to have you join us. We hope you don't lurk in the shadows anymore. |

But on the other side of that, it easily could have been live. Why is it not a big issue if it isn't caught live, but when it is, you get fined? Most everybody that gets on the radio drops a four letter word at some point, so how can someone be held responsible when the network just happened to be listening in? Of course, that's not Tony's issue. He said it in an interview, where it's completely avoidable and drivers know they can't do it. It did seem like a pretty blatant "yeah I said it" sort of move. |

| Re: Bs! I don't think Tony should get a thing... ESPN should have taken note from the other Telecast companies and used a time delay to be able to bleep certain language.... however, ESPN is also on cable and if I remember correctly don't the cable stations get away with more?
