| Kurt: Performance and Popularity ... “Maybe I look too young and people don’t think I deserve what I have. I don’t know if it started from me and Kyle got it because of that.” Sure, Kurt ... it's because you look too young. Has nothing to do with your antics on the track ... or pit lane for that matter! Grrr! This guy really needs to keep his mouth shut. Just gets worse and worse. That's Racin' | 07/28/2007 | Performance and popularity not always part of the same package

| Re: Kurt: Performance and Popularity ... the writer of the story has some facts wrong .. which helps to perpetuate the bad boy image: Kurt did NOT run into the side of Tony's car on pit road as the writer claims .. he never touched him (that time.) like them or not, Kurt is right, he and Kyle are prime drivers who most any team owner would be happy to have 'cause they produce, image not withstanding.

| Re: Kurt: Performance and Popularity ... I personally don't have a problem with Kurt, and I may need a refresher, but I don't see why most everyone else does, besides his little stunt at Dover which is inexcuseable. Is it because he got his face re-arranged by Jimmy Spencer? I would think the tables would be turned in that case. Is it because he beat Jimmie and Jeffy for the championship in '04? I guess that could be understandable if you're a driver fan. Is there one big incident that I just plain forgot about? |

| Re: Kurt: Performance and Popularity ... Without putting a lot of thought into it, it's late and I'm not as young as I was this morning, I get irritated when I think about the incident with the police in Florida (if I remember correctly). It isn't just him because there are many who have the "I'm above the law attitude". Fame and money mean little to me and when you try to take advantage of life in general because of those things .... down the drain goes any respect I may have had. In a nutshell it is just his angry attitude that makes me like him less than others. Notice I didn't use the "H" word.

Yup that was the event, but I will say that it isn't just Kurt. For me I don't care about the type of attitude. That would be the same attitude shown by the '07 Allstate 400 winner and a few others also. |
