| Re: Kyle Busch to JGR? If Gibbs starts a new team for Busch then so be it, but I have a funny feeling Busch is going to unseat JJ. That makes me angry ![]() Okay on a serious note I don't think I really want to cheer for JGR anymore. J.D. has done nothing but screw up the team. Kicks Bobby out and now he is going to do the same with JJ. JJ is only in his second year in cup and he is already getting the shape up or ship out talk. Denny Hamlin is the worst thing to ever happen to JJ. If he wasn't so damn good then JJ's expectations wouldn't be so high and he would have time to grow. |

| Re: Kyle Busch to JGR? I'm so confused ... Gibbs takes Kyle ... DEI merges with Ginn ... Mark drives for who? Merger means how many drivers? Who drives for who? I saw a report on Trackside today, but couldn't follow it. Man, this season has to be the most confusing I've seen in over 20 years! Gone are the days when I didn't follow, or care to follow, this team, owner, sponsor stuff. GTG has made me insane! ![]() http://www.smileycentral.com/sig.jsp?pc=ZSzeb113&pp=ZN

take a deep breath, hug your puppy and kitty. take another deep breath. put your feet up.... ok, very slowly.... Kyle hasn't gone anywhere, yet. nor said what his destination is. anything else is idle speculation. DEI merged their engine development with RCR so they both benefit from a combined effort. Ginn needed financial help so he sold his teams to DEI .. except for the #14 'cause DEI already had 3 cup teams. the #13 owner points went to #15 because Ginn assumed partial ownership (per NASCAR rules) so now the 4 DEI CUP drivers are: #1 - Martin Truex, Jr. #01 - Mark Martin & Aric Almirola #8 - Dale Earnhardt, Jr. #15 - Paul Menard what happened to the #14? it just went away .. no longer exists. Joe Nemechek is looking for a ride. So is Sterling Marlin what about Regan Smith? he's gonna be driving CTS for DEI/Ginn until some team wants to "promote" him. the other development drivers under contract to DEI and Ginn keep doing what they were doing. at some time in the near future DEI will pack up and move down the road into Ginn's much bigger shop and turn the "Garage-mahal" into a museum. pretty quickly (like after Indy) Ginn's engine contract with HMS won't be worth the paper it's written on and the ex-Ginn teams will begin using DEI/RCR power. silly season isn't over by a long shot .. stressing over it will only upset you for no reason. just chill 'till it's over. then we'll collectively hoist our mugs and salute the incompetent dunderheads that allowed this mess to happen in the first place (but it won't be a very nice salute...) whatever you do, don't get your favorite driver's number tatooed anywhere .. it's sure to change and tatoo removal is expensive and not attractive. any questions?

I understood the RCR/DEI engine development. That really didn't impact the drivers from my perspective. What threw me off was Mark Martin to DEI. I never heard of Ginn until GTG, but that doesn't say much. Like I said, I never really paid much attention to owners and the like. I did hear Max "something or other" from DEI on Trackside mention something about moving the shop. Funny you mention a tattoo of a favorite driver. Do you remember that hilarious Jr. commercial a couple of years ago where all his fans had the number 8 everywhere? Painted on the garage, carved into shrubs, grannies knitting afghans, etc. Then Dale said he was changing his number to something else? How ironic is that? Thanks for the explanation. It's a bit clearer now. |

I also think Bud should pull that commercial out again. It would sorta like be rubbing salt into the wound, all the way around !!!

I prefer making lawn art out of empties .. when they're out in the street it seems to indicate less pride in the neighborhood, lawn art just the opposite. then as the lawn begins to get crowded I sell them to the local recycler. keeps a fresh look to the place. I'm gonna be experimenting with those extra-mini kegs (or super large cans) I saw at the supermarket. will definitely reduce my aluminum can recycling but it may be possible to use them to construct a much better wall than the current beer can walls I've seen. dunno if I can consume a whole one at one sitting (bladder, you know), but it'll be an interesting (and fun) experiment. but I digress.... a true fan would find a way to use the empties to glorify their favorite driver. |

By the way we get a nickel per can here to return them. I'm gonna drink until I'm wealthy !!! |

| Re: Kyle Busch to JGR? Quote:
down here we are "reimbursed" to the tune of, last I saw, about 50 cents a pound. must be empties are more rare in the northland.... |
