I love Robby! I hate the season he's having, he always seems to have problems. But every road course I always think he's gonna win!

Re: FEMALE Nascar Fans

I'm a girlie NASCAR fan, too. Like JJ, tolerate Jeff, absolutely can't STAND Junior, HATE Biffle, wish the Busch Bros., Eliott Sadler & Ryan "No Neck" Newman would just go away, and enjoy the antics of Stewart & Harvick to an extent.

That just about sums it up

I meant to thank you, Space.

Many, many people believe that all the Sr. fans transferred to Jr. after Sr.'s death (and they know who they are). They also believe Jr. didn't have a strong fan base until Sr. was killed. Most of the people who believe this are a fan of particular driver, who shall remain nameless ... I don't want to hijack this thread.

I loved Sr. and I love Jr. I am not a Jr. fan because we lost Sr. Jr. earned my respect all on his own.

I just wanted to thank you for calling out that there are Jr. fans who were not necessarily Sr. fans.

As I've noted so many times, I am not a fan of any particular driver. I like many and Jr is one that I like to see do well. I never cared for Sr as a driver. His crash & pass attitude never sat well with me. He did have qualities that I could appreciate but driving skill wasn't one that got a 100% nod from me.

Thanks for proving my point again. Jr. fans are not "left-over" Sr. fans!

Hmmm ... Yes, all some people can remember about Sr. is his "crash & pass attitude" ... seems that had the most coverage. Pardon me, but wasn't it the race a couple of weeks ago when they were showing footage from the previous year when you-know-who did the same thing for the win?

Then there's the "pass in the grass". Take a good look at the footage. Sr. was forced into the grass, held his ground, and went on.

I don't want to get into a heated debate with you. Surely, I'll lose. But are you saying that Sr. wasn't a skilled driver?

Don't want to turn this into a Sr. Thread ... I'll say no more. Wait a minute ... this is a FEMALE NASCAR Fans thread! Is there something you're not telling me?

A point I'm glad you brought up. Skilled yes but a bit over aggressive ... much like another driver that has abilities beyond that of mere mortals but the attitude that I can do what I want. I won't try to discredit Sr for all he accomplished. Most/much of it was earned. Some of it was not earned fairly.

Just MY opinion !!!!

I hate going down this road again but I will. I said nothing about being "sensitive" What I am referring to is the crash & pass style of driving. "MY" theory or feeling, if that explains it better, is that if you need to spin someone out to pass them then you are using no skills to accomplish that feat. No matter what the crew does in the pits, the fab shop or engine builders do, they are out of the loop when ANY driver uses the crash & pass style of driving. Crash & pass involves zero team effort. It only requires driver "X" to use a method of driving that isn't actual racing. "I" am not a believer of the "do whatever it takes to win." Others believe in it and that is fine. They have their opinion and I have mine. I could come up behind the best driver NASCAR has to offer, hit him in the left rear, spin him, pass him and take the spot. Any crappy driver can do that. No skill involved, no team required.

Being aggressive can be a team effort. Be aggressive in th pits. Be aggressive at building the very best engine you can. Poor driving is aggressive but for me it is not racing. Again it is just my opinion and yes ... I'm very serious about what I view as aggressive/poor driving skills.

With all that said I still believe that Sr had many great driving abilities. Crash & pass wasn't one that I view as a "SKILL" ... at least not a good skill.
